Fab Ways to Accessorize Your Little Black Dress (LBD)

Image
The Little Black Dress (LBD) is the most iconic fashion item ever. And that’s why every woman should own one. Whether you’re an A list celebrity or a 9 to 5 chick, it’s compulsory for you to have an LBD. Yes, compulsory! However, it’s not enough to just have one, you must also know how to work that LBD right. Work it baby, work it! Okay back to business. It’s easy to look drab in your LBD if you don’t combine it with the right pieces. You really don’t want to look like a girl who just threw on something black and stepped out of her house. So if you want to be a champ at accessorizing your LBD, here are some tips you should follow: Go Nude Go nude with your shoes and accessories if you’d like to keep it cool and simple. Pop your earlobes with lovely hoops that sparkle when they catch the light. This look works well with bold makeup so your face can also get some of the attention too. Glitzy Baubles Try on a brooch, pin or cuff to add some glitter to your look. You ...

9 REASONS WHY EVERY MUSLIMAH SHOULD OWN A BLACK ABAYA

Image
Hello beautiful people, I hope you’re all well. In Islam when it comes to modesty in terms of clothing, some people are of the opinion that an abaya embodies modesty for a Muslim woman because this is mainly because an abaya fufills all the conditions of the hijab and it’s traditionally worn in the Middle East where Islam originated. An Abaya is an outer garment worn by women in some parts of the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf region. It is long sleeved, floor length and traditionally black. With the spread of Islam across the world not only the women of the Middle East wear the abaya but also many Muslim women across the globe. Disclaimer: This post doesn’t support the claim by some muslims that say wearing a black abaya is a must in Islam; as it is not stated as one of the conditions of the hijab prescribed to us. Any woman can wear anything as far as it is in conjunction with the conditions of the hijab. Nevertheless, I would be pointing out r...

A MEAL AT METRO CAFE AND GRILLS ABUJA

Image
If you're looking for a place to eat in Abuja, Nigeria, then Metro Cafe & Grills located in Wuse II is a great idea. After all, when it comes down to things to do in Abuja, going somewhere to have good food is the most common thing to do.    MENU Pricing was standard. I found the drinks to be a bit pricey ( I can't pay 1,500 Naira for lemonade) A review by  Dear Salmah  however noted that the Lemonade was good. I felt there wasn't much variety though especially when considering meals priced between 2,000-3,000 because the plan was to get a meal, a drink and dessert with a budget of 5,000 Naira. I usually check a restaurants pricing by how much water and soft drinks are sold and it was reasonable for me guys . Water and Soft drinks are sold at just 200 Naira. AMBIANCE I loved it guys. The restaurant is divided into three sections actually. There is a cafe area, a proper  restaurant  dining area (pictured below) which offers a vi...

LIFE IN NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL

Image
Nigerian Law School (NLS) situated in different cities around Nigeria which include - Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yenagoa, Yola and Abuja – the headquarters of NLS. For some of the students, this may be the first visit to the city that hosts the law school, and some may have concerns because of the relocation.  There is, however, nothing to fear as life in the law school is largely the same as living in the university with a few differences. While the university offers the opportunity of interacting with students in other disciplines, law school doesn’t, and only aspirants to the Nigerian Bar are present on the NLS campus. Also, activities in the NLS can be quite monotonous and probably more rigorous than any period of study you may have had before the law school. So buckle up! Accommodation NLS provides accommodation for students in all the campuses as the cost of housing is included in the fees so generally, students do not have to pay additional fees for housing. However, ...

WEEKEND CHILL OUT ZONES IN ABUJA

Image
It's the weekend guys and I'm sure u wondering what to do and where to go. While I could arrange something for u if u in my location I guess, depends on the Activities that interest you. My current Location - Abuja, Nigeria. I don't reside here but I'm just around and to me I guess Abuja is really not all that if you think of it compare to LAGOS (where my heart belongs) Abuja is a small political community so there aren't really places to have extreme fun like Lagos. But they are chilling zones to relax with friends and plenty gardens (like alot of that).it's a very cool and comfy zone.. No much holdups and not too many people around so things are still  in order compare to Lagos. Would be listing like 10 places that I think if you in Abuja you should try and visit I don't think u would regret it. 1. Arts and Crafts Village The Abuja arts and crafts village is another place that experiences a large number of visitors and tourists. The representat...
