WEEKEND CHILL OUT ZONES IN ABUJA

 It's the weekend guys and I'm sure u wondering what to do and where to go. While I could arrange something for u if u in my location I guess, depends on the Activities that interest you.
My current Location -Abuja, Nigeria.
I don't reside here but I'm just around and to me I guess Abuja is really not all that if you think of it compare to LAGOS (where my heart belongs)
Abuja is a small political community so there aren't really places to have extreme fun like Lagos. But they are chilling zones to relax with friends and plenty gardens (like alot of that).it's a very cool and comfy zone.. No much holdups and not too many people around so things are still  in order compare to Lagos. Would be listing like 10 places that I think if you in Abuja you should try and visit I don't think u would regret it.

1.Arts and Crafts Village


The Abuja arts and crafts village is another place that experiences a large number of visitors and tourists. The representation of the diverse cultures, the artifacts, symbols,tripahe crafts makes it a very unique place to visit. The stores are in form of traditional huts with thatched roofs and wooden windows, showcasing the indigenous culture of the Nigerians. There are several artworks up for sale in the market, things like pottery, paintings, fabrics, local jewelries, leather works, etc. if you are a lover of African art and culture; this is one place you must visit during your stay in Abuja. The arts and crafts village is located in the central business district just behind silverbird galleria.

2.The Trukadero Place


This is your one stop for bowling activities. So if you’re all about that life, this is the place for you. The best thing about this place is that it also has some other side attractions just incase you are just not into bowling. They have other games like snooker and board games; they also have an amusement park as well as a restaurant, it is left for you to choose whatever you feel up to. The Trukadero place is located at 131B Ademola Adetokunbo crescent, wuse 2, go on and have some fun.


3. Blucabana Lounge


The Blucabana lounge is one of the most beautiful and popular relaxation spots in Abuja. With a restaurant, a spa, gym, swimming pool and club, the lounge offers its multi-hospitality range of services in a very safe and secure location away from all the hustle of the city. It also has an indoor and outdoor kid’s playroom, so the little ones are not left out in all the fun. This super spot for every age group is a place for friends, family or even some me-time. It is located at mabushi district within the city.



4.The Waffle Stop Cafe


After its formal launch in 2017, the waffle stop café has crept in to the hearts of all sweet lovers within and outside Abuja. Known for their delicious American style waffles and pancakes, they have been able to climb up to one of the hotspots in Abuja. Located inside the dunes center, they get a lot of visitors daily, even celebrities. They have been able to develop themselves to the extent that everybody wants the waffle stop experience, you should too!


5.Thought Pyramid Art Center

Founded in 2007 by Jeff Ajueshi, the Thought pyramid gallery has slowly become one of Abuja’s favorite spot for art lovers. This place is notable for collecting, conserving and promoting modern and contemporary art of Africa. The gallery is located at 18, Libreville Street, wuse 2, Abuja. So whenever you pop into Abuja, make sure you schedule a tour round the gallery and appreciate the African culture.

6.The Secret Garden




Located in Riverplate Park, off Ahmadu Belo Way. This garden is the perfect outdoor spot to just relax alone or with friends and family. It really isn’t untrue that they make the best Pizza in all of Abuja. The secret garden provides a nice night view with Nigerian live bands and karaoke nights. The kids are not left out too as there is a mini playground for them.

7. Traffic

Situated in Maitama, Traffic is very popular among every active youth or lover of beautiful places. They provide very good services and an aura that leaves you relaxed and excited at the same time. Its tranquil setting is picturesque, with awesome choices of seating. It’s an awesome outdoor setting for fun






8.Millenium Park

There is no place as romantic as the Millennium Park, especially at night when there is a lesser crowd. The park is a perfect place to hang out with your partner and simply enjoy the view. This park is one of the most romantic picnic spots in the city. It is located in Maitama District, Abuja.

9.Usuman Dam




The dam is a little wonder the capital city hides; it has a peaceful and quiet setting and offers amazing view of mountains and hillsides. If you are looking for an opportunity to have a feel of nature with your loved ones, then Usuman Dam is the place to be. It is cased in a natural and breathtaking surrounding which cannot be ignored from the undulating landslides to its sizzling rock formation crowned with the interesting cleaves and savanna vegetation.
It is located 25km from Abuja on the Kaduna highway, 6km up the Bwari road. The common vegetation in the area is shrub savanna..

10 .SkyBar Rooftop Lounge 


104 Kwamme Nkrumah Crescent, Summerset, Asokoro Abuja. This breathe taking rooftop bar is just the IT- place in Abuja. This place is lit and the right spot to take that special one to. SkyBar Rooftop lounge offers the coolest cuisines, a nice view across and promises of fun!!!
